On-site auction
Starting price 50 €
SOLD
BODYWORK: In good condition, restored and repainted in its attractive original red colour. It shows some minor defects consistent with regular use.
MECHANICS: Fitted with a four-cylinder Perkins diesel engine, a very common period conversion carried out in pursuit of greater efficiency and lower fuel consumption. It runs very well and is ready to be used.
INTERIOR: In very good condition. The upholstery appears to be original and, apart from complementing the body colour very well, is also very well preserved. It is fitted with a period radio and large speaker.
DOCUMENTS: Original Spanish documentation in force.
HISTORY: In March 1971 the second series of the SEAT 124 appeared, designated 124 D (also available in a Luxury version). It was distinguished by larger bumper overriders, a grille with black slats, rear pillar vents, twin rear light clusters, a dual-circuit braking system and radial tyres instead of cross-ply tyres. The 124 family remained in production for 12 years and spawned many derivatives, including the 124 Five-Door or Estate. This unit was originally registered in Madrid in 1971 and has been restored. Its current owner acquired it approximately three years ago.
