HISTORY: Launched in 1923, the 147 Z was the model that opened the market to its manufacturer. It was powered by a simple yet robust British Villiers Mk VIII C engine. Described by the press of the time as “a reliable machine with inexpensive maintenance,” it became a commercial success and one of the most popular motorcycles in the country.
It was offered in a sport version and another marketed as suitable for “ladies and clergymen.” The example presented here preserves its original patina, retaining its original paint and all factory components, including the exhaust.
