HISTORY: The Nimbus is an astonishingly modern motorcycle for its time and a remarkable case in the history of motorcycling: it was designed and built by a vacuum cleaner manufacturer. The Model C version remained in production for more than a quarter of a century, from 1934 to 1959, with hardly any changes, becoming Denmark’s best-selling motorcycle.

Powered by a 4-cylinder inline engine with an overhead camshaft and shaft drive—technological features well ahead of their era—it produces around 20 hp and reaches a top speed of 120 km/h, while being surprisingly easy to handle. It is estimated that about half of all Nimbus motorcycles built still survive today—around 4,000 of them in Denmark—and nearly all remain in running condition.

This particular example is one of only 99 units produced in 1958. It was restored some years ago and has been well preserved since then.
