BODYWORK: In very good condition and retaining absolutely all its original details. It was fully restored, including the complete fabrication of a new internal wooden structure, with photographs available. The paintwork shows a light patina due to having been done around 30 years ago, but it has a strong shine and presents beautifully. The blue paint corresponds to one of the three colours originally offered in Citroën catalogues of the period. Unfortunately, during its most recent outing, the left headlamp bezel and its fluted glass lens were lost.

MECHANICS: Completely restored 30 years ago. After spending several years out of use, it has recently been recommissioned, including a new battery and the repair of the magneto and carburettor. It now starts and runs very well. The main defect is the foot brake, which operates on the transmission: although functional, it vibrates when applied. The level of detail in the restoration was so high that even the electrical installation was replicated exactly as it was originally. It is equipped with a carburettor primer operated from the dashboard, a very rare period extra. It also features a “Telegauge” fuel-level indicator integrated into the fuel-tank cap.

INTERIOR: In good condition, restored 30 years ago. The machined aluminium dashboard looks beautiful and highly polished. The upholstery of the front seats is worn, particularly the lower sections, though not the backrests. The hood is in very good condition.

DOCUMENTS: With original Spanish documentation, currently valid.

HISTORY: This Citroën 5CV belongs to the “Torpedo 3-seater” version, nicknamed “Trèfle” (Cloverleaf in French) due to the unusual layout of its three seats, with the third placed centrally at the rear. Today it is the most sought-after version among the different body styles produced for the iconic 5CV. This unit, registered in Barcelona, was restored around 30 years ago with an exceptional level of detail rarely seen in these popular Citroën models. Absolutely everything was dismantled and restored, and many parts were newly fabricated, including the radiator grille and several body components. The outstanding result can be seen in the photographs. The current owner acquired the car two years ago and has since carried out a mechanical overhaul.
