HISTORY: The Dnper K750 is a military sidecar-equipped model built during the Soviet era in the Ukrainian capital by KMZ (Kyivski Motocykletni Zavod, meaning Kiev Motorcycle Factory). As its appearance openly reveals, it is a clone of the BMW R71 produced by the Berlin firm before the war. This machine and its Russian “cousin”, the Ural M-72, shared the same side-valve boxer engine design with a displacement of 750 cc and served as the workhorses of the Soviet Army in its fight against the more modern BMW R75 and Zündapp KS 750 motorcycles of Nazi Germany.
Production continued until the arrival of its successor, the MT-9, in 1970. It is unknown under what circumstances this example, manufactured in 1962 and registered in Tarragona in early 1966, arrived in Spain, but it retains most of its original components and does not appear to have been restored. Its notable rarity and undeniable historical interest make it a highly appealing piece for many collectors.
