251 - ROSENGART LR2 Special Armor
On-site auction
Starting price 5.000 €
BODYWORK: This example features a special sporty body with plates from the Parisian factory “Armor”, which in the early decades of the 20th century was known for manufacturing bicycles and motorcycles. The car is in good overall condition, displaying some patina, particularly on the black paint of the fenders.
MECHANICALS: The car starts and runs, but due to limited recent use, it will require carburettor adjustment to operate properly again.
INTERIOR: In good, restored condition. The rear section, which tapers to a point, includes a storage compartment that also houses a modern electric fuel pump.
DOCUMENTS: Registered as a Historic Vehicle in Spain, with all the benefits and exemptions that this status entails.
HISTORY: Rosengart cars were, in essence, the French-built version of the legendary Austin Seven, produced under licence by Lucien Rosengart. Despite their small engines, they offered excellent performance, and many were transformed into special sporty variants or small racing cars. Although the detailed history of this unit is unknown, it bears plates from the Paris-based company Luxor, which may have been responsible for constructing this body. The car spent most of its life in France before being imported to Spain about 20 years ago. While registered as a Historic Vehicle, it has seen little use in recent years.
