BODYWORK:
Finished in Sand Beige (colour code 6607) with a black interior,an extremely attractive combination that recalls the Sand Beige 2.0-litre 911 that Porsche used in 2013 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 911. That particular car, taken from the Museum collection and from the same model year (1967), toured some of the world’s most important cities for various events (Paris, Shanghai, Sydney, Tokyo, São Paulo, Los Angeles…).

As a 1967 model, this example features the desirable short-wheelbase body (SWB) and the dashboard instruments with green lettering. Both elements are highly prized among enthusiasts of the early 911s.

MECHANICS:

  • January 2009 (95,231 miles): General engine service, replacement of shock absorbers, etc., with an invoice from Porsche Centre totalling nearly €7,000.

  • May 2010 (95,662 miles): Ignition service, brakes, carburettor tuning, etc., supported by an invoice from Porsche Centre for almost €5,000.

  • May 2024 (98,943 miles): Bodywork repairs, full engine tune-up and exhaust system restored.

INTERIOR:
In very good overall condition. As a 1967 model, it features the short-wheelbase body (SWB) and the green-lettered gauge cluster—details that are particularly appreciated among collectors of the earliest 911 models.

DOCUMENTATION:
Registered in Spain as a Historic Vehicle, with all associated exemptions and benefits.

HISTORY:
This car was first delivered new in California in April 1967 and was registered in Spain in 2003 with historic plates. It is fitted with a manual gearbox and currently shows 98,946 miles (159,238 km). It left the Stuttgart production line during Christmas of 1966 and was sold new in April 1967 at Carl R. Carlsen Inc., the Porsche dealership in San Francisco. According to the documentation accompanying the vehicle, this 911 spent its entire life in California until its transfer to Spain, meaning it has always lived in regions with an excellent climate.

The car is supplied with its Porsche Certificate of Authenticity (PCoA), confirming it is a fully matching-numbers example (chassis + engine + gearbox).

Among its many strong points, the optional equipment deserves special mention. At the time, cars were usually ordered with only one or two extras, but this unit was specified with a more extensive list, including the wooden steering wheel and chrome wheels.

The vehicle comes with its original service and owner’s manuals, as well as period documents—something quite uncommon in cars of this age. There is also an extensive file of invoices from its last US owner and several major invoices from Porsche Centres in Spain. In total, more than €18,000 has been invested in the car over the last 6,500 km.

Only 3,421 units were produced in that year.
